Scout Active Support
What is Scout Active Support?
Scout Active Support is for anyone over the age of 18 years.
It is a way for adults to volunteer time to Scouting in a flexible way that suits them. 109th Scout Group is now actively looking unto setting up an Active Support Unit who can provide valuable back up, advice and practical support at all levels of Scouting around the Group.
Active Support at 109th
There are a number of ways the Active Support unit can help provide a whole range valuable skills and ideas. These may include an Activities teams, Communications team and Site services team.
Scout Active Support welcomes men and women of all ages, interests and backgrounds. There is no need to have been involved in scouting all that is required is a willingness to give some of your time to scouting. In return you will make friends and be able to join with others doing whatever you decide. We envisage our scout active support team will have its own social and activity programme if this is what members would like.
The scout active support unit is a large part of the 'backbone' of the scout movement - supporting the young people and voluntary leaders wherever help is required. The key to our success is our flexibility - we're here to help.
