Cub Badges

109th Scout Group

Lowe Memorial Presbyterian Church, Finaghy

Part of South Belfast District

Please note it is highly improbable that a Cub Scout would obtain all the badges available for a Cub to earn although this has been done in the past in rare cases.

To help your son / daughter complete as many badges as possible, you can complete some at home, at school or at a club you attend.

We will be making badge sheets for certain badges, these will be ones that we cannot or are unable to do at Cubs. We aim to do most others during the Cub Programme.

Please note: You need to speak to the section leader before beginning a badge at home, at school or at a club you attend. Leaders have final decision on whether the badge can be done at home.

Cub Scout Badges

Here you can find information on all scout badges that are available to earn while your son / daughter is in the Cub section.

Many of the badges available are activity badges, which allow Cubs to show their progress in existing pursuits, but also to try all kinds of new things and form new interests.

Gaining a challenge badge involves accomplishing a number of more ambitious tasks within the Pack or community. There are several challenge badges across a number of themes, from the physical and outdoorsy to challenges dealing with the local community or issues connected with the Scouting world.

Staged Activity Badges are designed to be completed throughout your son / daughters journey - Cubs should be aiming to complete stages 2 & 3 in these badges.
